This special new build was outside of our typical geographic building area— in Jacksonville, Florida! The homeowners uncovered the perfect lot near the San Marcos city center and needed the home to blend in with the charming historic neighborhood. Twin Construction, along with Tidewater Homes, a Jacksonville home builder, designed and constructed a beautiful home for this Florida family.

This was an atypical project for us being outside of Birmingham, AL and the Panhandle area of Florida, but one that we thoroughly enjoyed! The Jacksonville homeowners reached out to Twin because they love the charm and style of historic Homewood, AL and wanted to bring that look to Jacksonville.
The Twin Team consisted of our Plan Designer Crystal Tucker, Interior Designer Laurie Fulkerson and Owner William Siegel. We collaborated with the clients to get the conceptual plans just right, then passed the baton to Jacksonville local Architect Carrie Breslin. Carrie had the knowledge of local building codes/guidelines and was able to finalize the drawings for permitting and construction. Tidewater Homes, a trusted local builder, would take it from there and execute a seamless build. Laurie worked with the clients beginning to end providing full construction design. She helped the homeowners navigate all the decisions they would need to make including paint colors, countertops, wallpaper, cabinets and more! Later, she also helped them select furnishings for the home that would be comfortable, long lasting and fitting for the newly designed space.
