Summer Young Feature of Twin Companies

Summer is simply the coolest kid we know.  She has curls for days, a big, beautiful smile…can sing like an angel, classically dance and rock a pair of converse like no other.  Summer makes her job of Senior Accountant (and most things in general!) look easy, even when it’s not.  She’s just that smart and that talented.  Twin is overjoyed to have her.

Meet Summer

When asked a few personal questions, Summer grinned widely and answered the following:

What is one thing you do every day?

Drink coffee – from a mug.

If you had an extra hour every day what would you do with it?

Procrastinate an hour longer… after work, of course…

What song makes you want to get up and dance?

Changes all the time!  Currently at the top of the list is “Heavy Mood” by Tilly and the Wall.  They have a tap dancer instead of a drummer!

What is your favorite thing about your job?

Rock ‘n’ Roll Friday.  Every Friday afternoon, one of our estimators (looking at you, David Deen) blares music from his loft office.  It usually results in some sing-alongs, and maybe a spontaneous dance move or two.  I guess you could file this under “office environment.”  I love our team dynamic made up of co-workers as hard working as they are compassionate, with great senses of humor.

What was your favorite childhood game to play?

I used to turn our kitchen into my restaurant, and I would make my family order something from me (limited menu of sandwiches and pre-packaged items).  I think my favorite part was running the cash register, though.  $$$

What’s the best trip you have ever taken?

This past year I traveled through Italy and then went to Lisbon, Portugal.  I saw some great works of art, ate tons of pasta, and learned how to surf!

If you could be in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be?

Ooh, hard to choose just one!  I would definitely like to visit Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.  I would sip a daffodil and finally know what a snozzberry tastes like.

Who has had the most influence in your life?

My brother, who passed away of cancer.  He was a friend to everyone and never let being sick get him down.

If you could be the master of one skill, what would it be?

I think I’d prefer to be a jack-of-all-trades, but if I have to pick one skill it would be chopping vegetables.  Maybe if I mastered this skill, I would cook more often.

What or who makes you laugh the most?

Any of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke videos.  They are great!
